Chiropractic
Chiropractic care is a holistic approach to healthcare that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders, particularly those involving the spine. It aims to improve overall health by restoring proper alignment and function to the body’s nervous system and musculoskeletal structure.
The primary form of treatment in chiropractic care is known as a chiropractic adjustment, also referred to as spinal manipulation. This procedure involves applying controlled force to a specific joint in the spine or other parts of the body to restore mobility, alleviate pain, and enhance function. Chiropractic adjustments can be performed manually, using the hands, or with the aid of instruments such as in the Activator Method, which delivers a gentle, targeted adjustment using a handheld device.
In addition to adjustments, we incorporate soft tissue therapies, such as the Graston Technique. This method uses specialized instruments to provide a precise, targeted massage that breaks down scar tissue and adhesions, improving tissue mobility and reducing pain.
Patients experiencing musculoskeletal pain and injuries undergo a comprehensive assessment, which includes a thorough history and physical examination. Based on this assessment, an individualized treatment plan is developed. This plan may involve co-management with other therapies, as well as guidance on home care, including exercises, posture improvement, and nutritional advice, to support long-term health and recovery.
BIOFLEX Laser Therapy (Cold Laser Therapy)
Laser Therapy, also referred to as Low-Intensity Laser Therapy (LILT), Photobiomodulation, or Cold Laser, is an advanced, light-based treatment that has been shown to be highly effective for addressing musculoskeletal conditions, promoting wound healing, and providing various other therapeutic benefits.
Clinically Proven Benefits Include:
Enhanced pain relief
Reduced swelling and stiffness
Minimized scarring
Lower risk of injury recurrence
Increased patient satisfaction
Shortened recovery time
Improved range of motion
Quicker return to daily activities
No known side effects
Kinesiology
Active Rehabilitation is a personalized exercise-based approach designed to help individuals recover from injuries, medical conditions, or motor vehicle accidents. It focuses on restoring strength, flexibility, and mobility through guided physical activity. The goal is to improve functional movement, reduce pain, and support long-term recovery.
A Kinesiologist is a healthcare professional who specializes in human movement and exercise therapy. They assess the body’s mechanics and develop customized rehabilitation programs tailored to each individual’s needs. Kinesiologists work with people recovering from:
Injuries (e.g., sprains, strains, fractures)
Chronic medical conditions (e.g., arthritis, diabetes, cardiovascular issues)
Motor vehicle accident recovery
Post-surgical rehabilitation
Work-related injuries
At our facility, we have an on-site gym where kinesiologists can guide patients through active rehabilitation programs. These programs involve targeted exercises to strengthen muscles, improve mobility, and enhance overall function, helping patients return to their daily activities faster and with greater confidence.
